Welcome! My name is Ashley, a homeschooling mom of three children with a degree in Early childhood education, Elementary education and literacy. I’ve worked in my own classroom from Pre-K to 3rd grade in the past and currently teaching my own bookworms at home on our little farm. Creating activities for early childhood learning has been a passion for me over the years with my youngest being globally delayed and medically complex. I started creating lessons and activities for him to help him grow and learn at his own level and decided not to keep my ideas to myself.
Hence, Busy Bookworms was imagined!
Busy Bookworms has allowed me to create lessons and activities for young/early learners based off of fun and engaging literature. Did I tell you , I love READING? There are so many great books out there for children and I can’t wait to share my favorite pick for each month and how I create a learning environment around those books. Creating a love for reading, learning and of course playing together. From sensory bin concepts to printed and hands on activities, I work to create ideas that can be adapted for most early learning levels.
Join us here! I’ll be sharing my monthly book themes, activity ideas, extras you can create at home, tips and ideas that I’ve found to create a great learning experience, and a little bit about our schooling journey along the way and how I adapt learning for special needs learners.
